The Inspiration Challenge: Level Four๐๐ฝ
Wow, it has been four weeks since I begun this challenge you guys! I can't believe that. Someone let me know what your favorite challenge has been so far and how it helped your state of mind. So remember how I told you all that my ear ache was gone...well I thought it was gone. It came back so I went to the doctor. UGH! It wasn't that bad though, they gave me some ear drops which I believe had antibiotics in them, that did the trick and now it's gone...seriously. One of my best friends and her sister are coming to town to visit tonight. A girls night never hurt anyone lol! Other than that, this week was a normal smooth week. Anything interesting happen for you guys this week?! Let me know in the comments below.
I am focusing this weeks challenge on the importance of saying "please" and "thank you"...how cliche I know. Although this is something we teach our three-year-olds and something that should be common knowledge, it honestly is not being used in everyday situations. This is something that I want to save from dying in our culture.
Let's begin with some definitions: (Dictionary.com)
please
[pleez]
1.
(used as a polite addition to requests, commands, etc.) if you would be so obliging; kindly:
Please come here. Will you please turn the radio off?
thank-you
[thangk-yoo]
1.
expressing one's gratitude or thanks:
a thank-you note.
The three words that stick out to me when reading these definitions are "kindly", "requests", and "gratitude". Now I am concentrating on these words and I have been remembering to use them on an everyday basis, even if I am not having the best day. You will be surprised how much better someone else's attitude appears when you add "please" to your request. I am not just talking about to your spouse or teaching your children. I am talking about when you order your coffee, asking someone to hand you something at work, getting your receipt from the gas station. Remembering to incorporate these three simple words is what I want you to do this week everyday! This inspiration this week is something that is not just going to affect you but the people around you that you see every day. Remembering to say these words is going to encourage others to deal with you in a more polite manner and you guessed it....RADIATE POSITIVITY. That is what this challenge is all about. This is something simple that you can remember to do every time you request something and after the request is accomplished. Also remembering to say "no thank-you" instead of just "no". Have fun with this challenge and spread happiness. I love you guys, thank you for joining me on this challenge and I can't wait to talk to you all next week!
I hope you all enjoyed this week’s blog post. Thank you for taking the time out to read it. Don't forget, we can always chat in the comments. Let me know if you have any questions and please leave suggestions for other blog ideas for the upcoming weeks.Talk to you soon. Stay beautiful stay positive. ๐
