Top 5 Summer Lipsticks: NYX

Hello Beauties!! I have missed you as it has been two weeks, I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekends. Today I am bringing you, as anticipated, my top 5 summer lipsticks. These lipsticks are my "go to" lipsticks. I did not even realize that they where all NYX but in all actuality it makes since because that IS my most owned lip brand in my collection lol. It is an extremely affordable brand with great quality. All of these products cost between five and seven dollars.
Now before I dig into the top 5, I have a few disclaimers. The first one is that I usually only wear these when my face makeup is done or half way done. With that being said I would suggest adding a small layer of lip balm, lining your lips and/or filling in your lips with lip liner before applying any lipsticks or lip stains. These are the steps I take so this is something to consider when I am talking about the formula and the lasting power of each lipstick.  All of these happen to be a matte formula and sometimes I add a little gloss on top but not all the time. I enjoy having the option to do both. Lastly, there will be pictures of swatches within this blog. Keep in mind that everyone's complexion, lip shade, makeup look, etc. will all come into play when it comes to the actual coloration on YOUR face. The swatches are just an estimate and what they look like against my skin.
Now that we got that out the way...lets get started!

Coming in at number five is a fun color that I would not consider an everyday color. This is the NYX soft matte lip cream in the shade Moscow. This shade is a basic navy blue. This is something that reminds me of the Kylie Jenner Mystic color except without all the metallic. This is a flat color that bleeds a lot in my opinion but that is without a lip liner underneath it. The day after I bought this and wore it for the first time is when I noticed it was becoming a trend. This is just a fun color that can bring a pop to a simple makeup look. The consistency of soft matte lip creams to me is extremely conformable, long lasting and build-able too.

Number four on the countdown is this ashy, plum, purple color. This is a NYX matte lipstick in the shade Up The Bass. This is also an extremely comfortable formula. Very similar to the soft matte lip cream but instead of using an applicator to apply it, you just apply a normal stick formed lipstick. This is a toned down fun color that is good for day or night. This color adds a slight pop without all the dramatics.

HERE COME THE NUDES LOL! I have been a huge fan of nudes all summer because they go with anything, they are easy to pack in my purse for reapplication and they go well with all seasons. This color is another ashy color. (ashy meaning cool toned) This is a brownie toupee that is cool toned. This color is from the NYX Lingerie collection in the shade Honeymoon. This formula is different than anything else I have tried. It goes on extra extra creamy and dries matte but does not make your lips look cracked. This is more of a lipid lipstick. It is  the MOST LONG LASTING color I own. It is extremely hard to remove. (I had to use an oil to remove it) The formula is different for me but it lasts and does not bulge once it is place. For my skin tone I believe this shade is not toolight and not too dark. It can dress up a makeup look without making it look like you tried to dress it up.

Number two and number one are really in a tie because I wear them both the most often. Number two is another soft matte lip cream in the shade Zurich. This is a peachy nude that is perfect for any skin tone. It is perfect for any makeup look, even hardly any at all. I absolutely love this color and wear it all the time!!

NUMBER ONE.  This color may not be considered a nude to some people but on my face, this color is very close to my actually lip color it just brightens it a bit. This color is from the NYX Suede line in the shade Tea and cookies. This shade is the perfect nude, baby pink color with slight purple reflects. This formula goes on smooth and creamy and dries to a cream matte. I wear this almost every weekend (the only time I've been wearing makeup right now) I feel it just enhances natural beauty which is what makeup is for right?
